A Veil of Shattered Dreams Rachel Stark Books Reviews
For those of you who are wondering if you should buy the book, BUY IT! Rachel Stark weaves an incredibly twisted tale of the the psychological world that throws the reader off the deep end from page 1. However, there were times that I was left wondering why she did not address certain sequences in the book (I will explain later).
I did like the fact that Rachel chose to include so much detail in her story. I could visualize every scene with its beauty and place myself there with the characters. I loved the story line, I am a sucker for children [well not really ;-), you will get it if you read the book] rising to the occasion in their circumstance. Another good point of the book was the switching from dreams back to reality, it will keep you guessing!
The portion I did not like is not a deal breaker, just flaws that I felt took away from my reading experience. Rachel's attention to inanimate detail sometimes translates into long sequences of information without any clear understanding of what the main character is doing and what is happening. I assume that since this could be characterized as a psychological thriller, that there is some room for unanswered questions. I was left wondering why the main character went to the place she was dropped off as a kid and the significance of the characters in the house with her. I am not trying to spoil the story for any potential readers so I will leave it at that.
Overall, Rachel wrote a wonderful book that should be considered for anyone who finds their way to this page.

A Veil of Shattered Dreams is an absolutely wonderful literary experience. First time author Rachel Stark pulls you into the story from page one. The characters are gripping and you become invested in their story. A psychological thriller, this is a must read for all book lovers!
This is a very well written story that captured me from page 1, and was impossible to put down until I finished it. I would recommend his book to anyone!
First time author Rachel Stark delivers a poignant novel. It was incredibly well written, captivating and unique. The main character, Katerina, was so well developed I felt as though I knew her. I look forward to future writings by this wonderful author!
Once I opened the book I was captured. The twists and turns were excellent and on time. Without giving any spoilers, each character was well planned. Amazing talent for this new author. Kudo's on a book well written. I will be looking forward to more interesting reads by this new artist.
This book was very well written and kept you captivated through every page. You feel like you are the main character going through her own feelings of love, betrayal and horrific pain. A definite must read. I think Rachel Stark has a huge career in front of her. She comes across as a seasoned writer. Absolutely loved this book!
Loved this book--what a great first book for this author! It is very well written and kept me on edge. I thought I knew how it was going to end, then I changed my mind, then I changed my mind again, and then I realized I was completely wrong. Or was I? Maybe the ending wasn't the reality at all? It will definitely make you think! Well done, Rachel! I can't wait for your next one!
